Additional considerations include the selection of sod, irrigation and lighting.
As a child, every weekend Matthew would head to the Appalachian Mountains of Georgia with his mother, father and sister to visit his Grandpaw Burton. His grandfather lived at the foot of Goshen Mountain. He had a sawmill, cows, horses, pigs, tractors and thousands of chickens. Soque Creek ran through the middle of his farm. Matthew had the thrill of walking in the woods and the fields and fishing in the creek with a pole made of bamboo which he found growing in the corn fields. Flowers abounded around their home; fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat were always on the table. Goshen mountain was truly the land of milk and honey as his mother would say and Matthew agreed. These early experiences on his grandfather’s farm inspired his love of nature and beautiful landscapes.
