Navid’s Biography
My life resembles looking out a window on a train. If you look at the ground close by, it moves extremely fast. But the further away you look, the slower it appears to move. This is what it feels like to come to become successful. Working hard for my clients, keeping my employees happy, and running a company growing at a prosperous rate, all while still remembering where I have come from—this all contributes to my ability to handle some really fast-paced and convoluted tasks. They make a day go by like the wind. When I look into the future, I see it clearly. It is bright and full of the fruits of my work, many beautiful works, that I have the pleasure of being invited back to enjoy with my clients.
A Family Owned Company
We were raised with an entrepreneurial mentality and started working three days after moving to Atlanta. With my love for medicine and Omid’s passion for engineering, we worked long hours, and studied even harder. It finally paid off when we were accepted to our favorite institutes: Emory and Georgia Tech. We had two priorities: make a name for ourselves at our institutes and perpetuate the companies that we have worked so hard to grow. With strategies and proper planning, we excelled in both. Omid graduated with highest honors as a civil engineer and I graduated at the 96th percentile from Emory as a biologist. It was a nice feeling to accomplish one enormous goal in life. I had spent my life in landscaping and gardening, and Omid spent his whole life in construction.
After graduating, I decided to go back to what I was great at: designing outdoor space. With a fulltime attention to our outdoor makeover business, we revamped the company with many new systems for organization and success, with many great employees, with creative and intelligent minds, with competitive pricing, and with years of experience. Our fruit has yielded many, many happy clients with amazing outdoor spaces.
Mr. Derakhshan, our father, was very stringent when it came to discipline, education, ethics and respect for others. He also put much emphasis on diligence. Omid and I started working for him and earning our own wages since the age of eight in constructions sites that he developed in the summertime. We’ve never stopped working since. Now, a biology degree later from Emory University with a 96th percentile ranking, I’ve followed my passion of creativity and being outdoors. Omid graduated with a civil engineering degree from Georgia Tech with the highest honors. This followed his childhood passion of Lego building to becoming a developer and putting his generosity and diligence into designing and perfecting outdoor living spaces. We contribute our solid and steady growth to our entrepreneurial minds. We know what clients want: quality, service, and price. Our backgrounds have prepared us to install long-lasting projects. We offer the longest warranty in the industry for the client’s comfort, so we build it right. Angie’s List, the unbiased authority in the industry, named Outdoor Makeover & Construction their contractor of the year. Houzz voted us designer of the year, and Trust Dale certified us after only one meeting. Winning over 200 awards, we promise to simply impress you with the way we surpass our clients’ expectations.
