Installing an outdoor water feature can dramatically transform your outdoor space. The soothing sounds and visuals of water create a serene atmosphere, while the gentle flow can help mask unwanted noise. Water features are also visually captivating and can become the centerpiece of your outdoor design. Whether you have a modern outdoor water feature or a traditional style, they can seamlessly complement your landscape. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, Water garden features also attract wildlife, promoting a healthy and vibrant ecosystem. Birds, bees, and butterflies are drawn to the water, adding a touch of natural beauty to your space.
Overall, the construction of an outdoor water feature enhances the beauty, peacefulness, and ecological value of your outdoor area. Most outdoor water features have a hidden reservoir and a recirculating pump. The pump pushes water through the feature, creating a soothing cascade or flow. The water then returns to the reservoir, creating a continuous cycle. Pumps can be set on timers or smart sockets for convenient scheduling.

Fountain
Garden fountains are traditional outdoor water features that come in a variety of designs and sizes. They often incorporate an ornamental structure from which water pours, as well as components like cascades, jets, or sprays, which provide a stunning visual appeal.
Bubbling Boulder
A bubbling boulder is a huge rock or boulder that has been hollowed down to form a basin. Water is pumped into the boulder, creating a bubbling effect, adding movement and sound to the landscape.
Water Bowls

A basin water feature is often made up of a shallow basin or pool filled with water. It combined with other components like stones, sculptures, or water spouts to create an eye-catching focal point.
Slate Sphere

Pondless Waterfall
As the name suggests, a pondless waterfall does not have a visible pond or basin. Instead, water pours down a series of rocks or an ornamental structure and vanishes into a hidden underground reservoir, providing the sights and sounds of a waterfall without the maintenance of a pond.
Urns
Urn water features are enormous and have been transformed into water containers. Water pours from the urn’s top, flowing down its sides and creating a lovely spectacle.
Rain Chains
Decorative alternatives to standard downspouts. They are made up of a series of linked cups or chains that direct water from the roof into a specific region, resulting in a pleasant and soothing water flow.

Our Process
Q: What kinds of water features do you install?
A: Water curtains, pondless water features, bubbling boulders, and vases.
Q: Do water features require a lot of maintenance?
A: Most just need occasional cleaning, pump servicing, and refilling to make up for water loss due to evaporation and splashing.
Q: Do waterfalls waste water?
A: No. They recirculate the same water through a basin that collects it and pumps it back to the top of the waterfall.
Q: Why should I design a water feature in my landscape?
A: It is very soothing to relax to the beautiful sound of water hitting water.
Q: Does my water bill go up if I have a water feature?
A: Not necessarily. Once you fill it up, it only needs occasional topping off—just a few minutes of running water each week. When it rains, it helps naturally refill water features.
Q: Do water features leak?
A: Traditional water features are designed using a thick liner. Although they should last a long time, they can eventually leak.
Outdoor Makeover and Living Spaces prefers to design large water features with masonry bases and waterproof-facing materials. This is the longest-lasting water basin we have found to work. A few large manufacturers also design 55-gallon rubber water basins, which are virtually indestructible.
Q: Can I run a water feature in winter?
A: You can run it as long as the water won’t freeze. Running water typically won’t freeze, but the basin can.
We’ve seen water features continue to run until the basin froze. As the water bubbled out and froze, more water escaped and froze outside the basin. Eventually, all the water froze outside, and the submerged pump froze as well, causing it to fail.
Water features in pools are fine to run in winter because of the large water volume. But for smaller features, it’s best to disconnect the pump and restart it in the spring.
