Director of Operations – Job Summary

A motivator, coach mentor and proven leader who will manage all activities related to operations and oversee the team that is responsible for all our landscaping and construction projects. The Director of Operation is responsible for all operational staff including overall project profitability while maintaining a high standard of quality.

An experienced and successful leader that has achieved high competencies in the following areas:

  • Project Management leadership and or PMP certification
  • Client/ Sub-Contractor/ Vendor relationship management
  • Attaining and or exceeding overall Project profitability objectives while achieving high Customer satisfaction
Director of Operations – Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must have knowledge of landscape and construction industry.
  • Managing Project Management Office (PMO) including managing Project Managers, Construction engineers and Superintendents.
  • Overall responsibility for efficient, profitable and timely completion of projects.
  • Forecasting project workload and labor forecasting so that projects are properly staffed.
  • Coordinating manpower and assign projects to project managers, construction engineers And superintendents and sub-vendors
  • Maintaining effective subcontractor relations including developing and expanding new Partner relationships with other sub-contractors.
  • Safety – ensure all projects are run in a safe manner and serve as a champion of a safe Working culture on the jobsite
  • Technology and Financial Controls – Work with the management team to complete monthly management report and – Fully understand and oversee proper usage of our management software – LMN (operational reporting and project management).
  • Understand and leverage the technology used within the company.
  • Continuous Business Improvement – provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and Maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • HR – related manage those who manage our projects – PM, Superintendents, etc… Review Employee performance on an annual basis and mentor employees .Build and maintain an Entrepreneurial and productive culture.
  • Communicate company goals, standards and procedures to the staff, trains and ensures all Assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer Policies, procedures, and regulations.
Director of Operations – Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in landscaping and or construction management, Construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited University
  • Project Management Certificate (PMP) Certifications highly preferred
  • Self-motivated and in-depth understanding of landscaping and construction industry

Job Responsibilities:
  • Be knowledgeable in the exterior construction & landscape industry.
  • Identify prospective customers, lead generation, and conversion.
  • Contact new and existing customers to guide and sell the project, utilizing a CRM.
  • Capable of learning our unique system and becoming a brand expert.

  • Valid Georgia Drivers’ license.

What we are looking for:

A highly organized individual to join our team as Handyman/Carpenter. The ideal candidate will be generally responsible for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing-related repairs. Might may engage in landscape maintenance employees to ensure the exterior areas are kept in good condition.

What will be your responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical repairs in community areas, including lights and laundry.
  • Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
  • Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
  • Install and replace floors, stairs, and piping as needed.
  • Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building.
  • Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
  • Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
  • Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work
  • Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation
  • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
  • Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
  • Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals
