The goal

The Dodd Lane homeowners in Alpharetta wanted to put an unused backyard to work as outdoor living space. The design brought cooking, dining, shaded seating and recreation together around the way they wanted to spend time at home.

The design approach

A kitchen with a pizza oven, refrigerator and counter space sits near the dining area. A pergola defines a place to relax, while a fire pit provides a separate gathering point. These elements create distinct uses within one coordinated backyard.
