The goal

At Slate Drive in Buford, the existing outdoor kitchen no longer suited the homeowners’ gatherings. The project focused on making cooking, serving and spending time with guests work together beneath the existing structure.

The design approach

An L-shaped layout brought modern appliances, preparation surfaces and bar seating into one kitchen. Replacing cedar-wrapped posts with a brick finish tied the updated area to the home’s architecture. The bar overhang gives guests a place to sit close to the cooking area.
