Landscape design and installation in Atlanta

Outdoor Makeover & Living Spaces designs and installs residential landscapes that connect planting, lawns, paths and gathering spaces. We consider sunlight, drainage, existing trees, access and the way your family wants to use the property before recommending a plan.

Our work can include planting, sod, privacy screening, grading, drainage, irrigation and lighting, coordinated with patios and other outdoor features. Check our service ZIP codes and speak with our Client Concierge about your goals and project scope.

A landscape planned around your property

We begin with the areas you want to improve and the problems you want to solve. A shaded garden, a sloping backyard and an open entertaining space need different planting and construction decisions.

Your plan should connect plant selection and mature size with circulation, privacy, drainage and care requirements. We discuss how the landscape relates to your home and any existing or planned hardscapes, so the individual improvements work together.

See how landscape planning creates usable space

At Greenbrier Road in Sandy Springs, grading and retaining walls expanded the usable backyard alongside an outdoor kitchen, pergola, fire features and synthetic turf. The project illustrates why site preparation belongs in the same conversation as the finished landscape.

Every property has different conditions. Use the project photographs and scope descriptions as inspiration, then discuss the appropriate approach for your home.

Planning your landscape investment and timing

What affects the price?

The area being improved, access, soil preparation, grading and drainage, plant sizes and quantities, irrigation, lighting and connected hardscape work all affect the proposal. Compare the quantities, preparation and exclusions in each estimate, not just the total.

Our investment guide explains whole-project planning ranges and documented examples. Those combined projects are not planting-only or lawn-only prices.

How long will the project take?

Design, approvals, material availability and construction are separate parts of the schedule. Property conditions, scope and weather affect the work. Your designer and project team confirm timing for the proposed scope rather than applying one duration to every landscape.

What should I bring to the consultation?

Share your priorities, photographs, intended investment and any known drainage or access concerns. Discuss how much ongoing care you want the landscape to need and any future improvements that should be allowed for in the plan.
